POKOTABI / Bar LAZY 2
バール LAZY 2
In the Suitengumae area, Italian eatery Bar LAZY 2 serves lunch sets featuring chewy fresh pasta alongside generous salads, transitioning to evening wine and tapas.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
At lunch, the first thing to catch the eye at Bar LAZY 2 is often the deep bowl piled high with salad. Crisp lettuce comes topped with a generous drift of katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes), a distinctive combination that makes it easy to work through plenty of fresh greens. The meal then moves on to bouncy fresh pasta, dressed in house-made meat sauce or shrimp tomato cream. Select sets also come with warm, toasted bread, handy for wiping up every bit of sauce left on the plate.
Midday dining is not limited to pasta. The menu accommodates different moods with a multi-grain rice loco moco topped with a hamburg patty, homemade dry curry, or banh mi packed into soft, chewy bread. It functions equally well for a quick, substantial weekday lunch or a more leisurely meal.
When evening arrives, the subdued lighting shifts the space into an Italian-style bar centered on an expansive wine list, small plates, and substantial meat and seafood courses. Diners can sip a glass of sparkling wine alongside assorted appetizers, red sea bream carpaccio, or shrimp and mushroom ajillo. The kitchen also turns out distinctive staples like the house-specialty cappuccino-style carbonara, red-wine-braised beef cheek, and grilled lamb chops on the bone, making the counter and tables equally welcoming for solo diners and casual gatherings.
